Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what we need to get an order to your door, we do not sell your data to anyone, and we will delete it on request. We are a small shop, not an advertising network, so there is not a great deal to unpack.

What we collect, and why

Order information. Your name, delivery address, email address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We need it to dispatch your parcel and to email you about it. Our payment provider handles your card or PayPal details directly, so full payment credentials never touch our systems.

Email address. Used for your order confirmation, dispatch and tracking notices, and to answer you when you write. If you tick the box to hear from us about new arrivals or offers, you will only get those emails while that box stays ticked, and every one of them has a one-click unsubscribe at the bottom.

Basic site data. Like most websites we record pages viewed and general device and browser information to understand what is working and what is broken. This is aggregated and is not used to build a profile of you as a person.

Cookies. We use a small number of cookies genuinely required to run a shop, such as keeping your cart contents and keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers or share your browsing with ad networks. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time, though the shop will not work properly if you block the ones it needs.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that make your order possible:

  • Our payment provider, to take payment from you and send your refund back.
  • Our distribution partner, to pick, pack and hand the parcel to the carrier.
  • The delivery carrier, which receives your name, address and contact details in order to deliver.
  • Our email provider, to send your order emails.

Each handles your data for one specific part of the order, and none may use it to market to you on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information under any circumstances.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes, which is generally seven years. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete something we are not legally required to keep, we delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Ask us to stop processing it, or object to how we use it.
  • Ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these, email contact-us@ikimsoft.shop. We will not charge you for it and we will not make you jump through hoops. We answer within one business day.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. To exercise your rights, use the email above or our privacy choices page.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority if you think we have handled your data improperly.

Children

This shop is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Payments run over encrypted connections through our payment provider, and we do not store full card details ourselves. No system is perfect, but we treat this as a real responsibility rather than a line in a policy.
